Data Types

Custom Post Types (Shows, Overrides, Playlists) and the Genre/Language taxonomies.

Custom Post Types

Shows

The main post type, with a repeater field for Show Shifts. Hosts, Producers, Genres, and Languages can be assigned. Supports a Featured Image, Show Avatar, and (if enabled) an alternative Content Header image. Extra meta fields: show_link (external site URL), show_file (latest audio URL), show_email, and show_patreon.

Schedule Overrides

Similar to Shows but use a date + time block instead of Shifts, via a Datepicker and start/end time dropdowns. Also support Hosts, Producers, taxonomies, and images.

Playlists

A track list assignable to a Show, with a repeater field per track: Artist, Song Title, Album, Label, Comments, New Track checkbox, and Queued/Played status. The most recently published Playlist for the current Show displays in the Current Playlist Widget.

Show Posts

Standard WordPress Posts can be assigned to a Show via a metabox, so news/announcements for that Show display in a paginated list on its page.

Pro Show Episodes

Assignable to a Show to build a dated Episode archive that displays on the Show page.

Pro Host and Producer Profiles

Dedicated profile-page templates for Hosts and Producers, distinct from the standard WordPress Author template.

Taxonomies

Genre Taxonomy

Flexible — not limited to music genres, also useful for talk-show topics. Enables user highlighting on the Master Schedule, is discoverable via the Data API's Genres endpoint, displays on the Show page and in widgets, and has its own Genres Archive Shortcode.

Language Taxonomy

A fixed taxonomy for assigning a Show's (or Override's) language; defaults to your Plugin Settings' main language if unset. Discoverable via the Data API's Languages endpoint and displayed on the Show page.
